Hey Schills,
We here at the Riverboat Gamblers HQ have had an eventful few weeks. We went to Australia, our new record Underneath the Owl came out and we played SXSW.
SXSW was really great. We played three shows. They were all pretty amazing. We saw lots of friends and lots of great bands. P.O.S., Gentleman Jesse, The Bronx, Joe Jack Talcum, The Street Dogs, The Thermals…that’s just off the top of my head. Unfortunately we were super busy and missed a ton of cool stuff…but that is kind of SXSW, no matter how much cool stuff you see you still end up missing a lot.
We did get to walk down a hall next to Mark Mothersbaugh in full Devo get up. I wish I would have hit him up to remix “Robots May Break Your Heart” from the new record.
So now its time to clock in. We start our tour with Fake Problems on Friday and have all the dates up – check ‘em out. It’s mostly East Coast and some Midwest. We are gonna do the West Coast and Canada in late May/June so don’t think we are leaving ya’ll out. We love you all equally.
On top of all that we have put together a Twitter page, and couple of us have started blogs (see links at the top of the page). Isn’t living in the 1990′s great!!!
Bottom line is: We are really excited to play songs from our new record for you. Keep checkin’ us online and we are gonna try to get back to everyone that we can.
Can’t wait to see you soon…
